The following highlights the history and development of why PFP was created for this special niche market:
For the past fifty years, Jerry Jaffe, president of Proportion Fit Products, was honorably discharged from the United States Army. Shortly after his discharge, he joined a company called, Store Dor Drug, Inc. This company was designed to service Drug and Grocery Stores with Health and Beauty Aids, School Supplies, Cosmetics, Hosiery and many other non-food items.
After a fire destroyed the company in 1968, he joined another similar service company.
Two years later, he decided to open his own service company, Rack Merchandiser, Inc.

Jerry’s first major account was a small chain of grocery stores called White Hen Pantry located in the Chicago Market. He serviced that chain of grocery stores for the next twenty years with the chain increasing from eleven stores to over three hundred. During this time period, his company, Rack Merchandiser, Inc. added many other grocery stores such as 7-Eleven and Jewel Food Stores.

He started this company with the assistance of his wife and after many years, his son Brian, joined him in the company after his sixteenth birthday. Initially, his main responsibilities included warehousing, shipping, and receiving merchandise for their many grocery and drug store accounts. Eventually, Brian was given the opportunity to service his own accounts.

In the fall of 1990, Jerry sold his company, all except the Hosiery Department, for the purpose of relocating to Arizona as it was always a separate entity from Rack Merchandiser, Inc. The company was named, Stone Fox, Inc. and after Brian joined him in 1995, they expanded the hosiery line of merchandise.

In 2001, Brian formed a new company called Proportion Fit Products, LLC. With his ingenuity and leadership abilities, this company expanded into many different products pertaining to the Full-Figured Woman. This included re-inventing and expanding this niche market which was very under developed . Eventually, Brian created a line of Panty Hose, Socks
and Body Firming Items with High Content of Spandex combined with Special Comfort Panels knitted for Ease of Comfort and Fit.

With Brian’s originality and creativeness for the Full-Figured Woman, Proportion Fit Products has expanded from the grocery and drug store market into Major Mail Order and Retail Companies throughout the United States.

Stone Fox Hosiery was established in 1972 by Don Jackson and Jerry Jaffe. The company was formed by the suggestion of Jewel Foods Store (SuperValu) to produce and sell fine pantyhose for the African American Consumer.
Our brand of pantyhose has been selling in the market place for more than 37 years.
Throughout the years, there have been many companies that have produced such lines to compete against Stone Fox Hosiery. These companies were never able to duplicate Stone Fox Hosiery Guarantee Fit-Ability or Value.
Todays market is ever growing and retail stores do not accommodate for this growth. Do to space allocation and less knowledge of this market, retail outlets ignore these products and consumer needs.
